Redwood Decks with Hog Wire Handrails
We constructed both front and back decks for this fire rebuild in Mark West Springs. The home is situated on a sloped lot with more space in front of the house than behind. The front deck is larger and is perfect for entertaining, which the homeowners enjoy doing. This deck will be easy to maintain because we used heart redwood. This type of wood is kiln dried and has very low moisture. That means it’s more resistant to cracking and splitting. We bordered the deck with powdered-coated hog wire, which is rust-resistant and gives the deck a modern feel.
